Chinese Export Commodities Fair, also called Canton Fair, is held twice a year in Spring and Autumn since it was inaugurated in the Spring of 1957. It is China's largest trade fair of the highest level, of the most complete varieties and of the largest attendance and business turnover. Preserving its traditions, the Fair is a comprehensive and multi-functional event of international importance. After the development for 48 years, the CECF now becomes a reliable brand of trade promotion to business people either in China or in other places of the world. Each session, the CECF attracts over 10,000 outstanding Chinese enterprises and a huge number of buyers from over 200 countries and regions. At the Spring Fair of 2005, nearly 300,000 exhibitors and buyers attended the CECF and the trade volume reached 29.3 billion US dollars. The CECF 's supply and buy system is effective and comprises great business opportunities.
